A specialty centre for Diving & Hyperbaric Medicine
We have state of the art equipment for electrocardiograms, pulmonary function testing, blood pressure monitoring, audiograms and tympanometry. Blood tests are taken at our centre and sent to an external laboratory.
We serve commercial, professional, police and recreational divers.
If more sophisticated diagnostic testing is required, such as stress tests and 2-D echocardiograms, arrangements are made at the main site of the North York General Hospital at 4001 Leslie Street, 500 metres north of Highway 401.
Onsite we have nine mono-place chambers with a compression capacity of 3 ATA. These mono-place hyperbaric chambers are regularly used to treat conditions approved by the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) and Health Canada. Our centre is recognized as a Divers Alert Network (DAN) Referral Centre.
